SOL Verified Credit Requirements (2018-2021)

A student must earn verified credits by passing six SOL tests to receive a Standard Diploma:

  • 1 Math credit (Algebra I, Geometry, or Algebra II)
  • 1 Science credit (Earth Science, Biology, or Chemistry)
  • 1 Social Studies credit (World History I, World History II, or US History)
  • 2 English credits (Reading and Writing)
  • 1 Student Choice credit from any area 
  • 6 total verified credits for the Standard Diploma

A student must earn verified credits by passing nine SOL tests to receive an Advanced Studies diploma:

  • 2 Math credits (Algebra I, Geometry, or Algebra II)
  • 2 Science credits (Earth Science, Biology, or Chemistry)
  • 2 Social Studies credits (World History I, World History II, or US History)
  • 2 English credits (Reading and Writing)
  • 1 Student Choice credit from any area
  • 9 Total verified credits for the Advanced Studies Diploma
